So we’ve figured out the keywords. Now you have to make your ads more attractive.
Dotidot supports three types of Ad texts - Responsive ads, DSA ads and Classic Extended ad texts (ETA) ads. But ETA are not available for Google Ads anymore.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to create ETA ad texts.
First, we'll name the ad text generator (1.)
Creating ad texts isn’t a rocket science. All you need to do is enter relevant values into each box (3.). The name of the variation is the first value. It serves information purposes only and isn’t copied into the ad. In the preview on the right, you can see what the ad will look like.
The description probably needs no explanation. Just keep in mind the publication requirements your ad has to meet depending on the system requirements.
There are things, however, you don’t really have to pay attention to because we adjust them automatically on your behalf. Type size is the first one. We automatically check the size and adjust it so that it conforms to the Sklik requirements. This spares you from having to think about the form of the variables you enter into your ad text.
The displayed URL can also be adjusted. We replace “-“ with spaces, remove “http://” and https://, and format words with first capital letters.
Conditions
We’ve already stumbled upon Conditions a couple of times – when we were browsing our products and creating our keywords. We know that conditions allow us to select a product group. They perform the same function for ad texts.
Therefore, if you don’t want to use particular ad texts for all of your campaign products, but only for some of them, you can select these products, using conditions. The option to create ad texts for the rest of the products will then be shown in the branching (left).
For example, let’s set the condition that we want to use our ad text only for those products that cost more than 30 EUR.
Time restriction
And let’s not forget about setting the Time restriction. We already know about that as well. This function allows us to set the time period when particular ad texts are, or on the other hand aren’t generated.
Once everything is set, click Create and you’ll be redirected to the summary of all your ad text generators.
Of course, now you can further adjust the ad text you’ve created (1.), Move it to different branch (2.), duplicate it (3.), duplicate it to the same branch (4.), or delete it (5.)
