Feed exports

Introduction

This guide will show you how to export product feeds from Dotidot and how to adjust the feed content using Rules.

Who it’s for:

This is useful for anyone who wants to create tailored feed for marketplaces, price comparison sites, or advertising systems.

Prerequisites:

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A working Data source in Dotidot

    Confirm your selection to continue.

  3. (optional) Adjust product data

The app will pre-fill the required fields if you have them in your feed. You can of course edit the fields via mapping, you can also edit the product selection via conditions or add optional attributes

  4. Use Rules to adjust the feed

Before publishing the feed, you can use Rules to modify your product data.

    What are Rules?

Rules act as editor for your export values. They allow you to adjust them, or replace specific content based on custom conditions. They behave similarly to variables, but they don't create a new value in your feed, they just modify the value in the specific feed export.

You can add Rules through your Data source in the Rules section.

You can apply rules only to the specific export you attach them to, or you can choose to Use them for all Feed exports.

  5. Save and publish

Once everything is set, click Save and Publish your export.

You’ll receive a feed export URL you can copy and use in the external platform

Of course, once you've created it, you can go back to edit your feed export and add or change anything.

Tip: Be sure to activate the export to get the URL you need. Inactive exports are not updated. App is updating regularly only those that are active and have been downloaded at least once in the last 72 hours.
